It's often recommended that podcasters follow trends and news, adding their voice in support of or in protest of [insert cause/event].

But as a business podcaster, you do not have to do that. In fact, maybe you shouldn't.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking your listeners (or potential listeners) are monolithic. Or feel the same way that you feel about a current, issue, or topic.

It's possible (likely, even) that your audience doesn't expect for you to pick up the torch, carry the flame, or any other political/social cause, ESPECIALLY when your content has nothing to do with the issue of the moment.

Yes, you're entitle to your opinion. Yes, if you feel it necessary, then go ahead and use your podcast as a platform for forward/fight the cause.
